Prove all things.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” 1 Thessalonians 5:21

This site's house rule is check everything, so here are the tools to check with, and the books worth reading alongside them. The tools are free or nearly free, the books are cheap, and nothing on this page pays this site anything.

The toolbox

Examine the Book yourself.

Search & count

King James Pure Bible Search

A free, purpose-built search engine for the King James text. Word counts, phrase searches, concordance work: the tool for verifying every count and claim this site makes, including the sevens.

The count's methodology

kjvcode.com

Documentation of the 823,543 count and the wider pattern work: what was counted, how, and how to reproduce it. Read the method before you argue with the total; that is how honest examination works.

The Evidence Tools

The Comparison Table sets the KJB beside the modern versions with every change marked. The Sevens walks the arithmetic. The Adherence Index measures sixteen traditions against the Book, with a second view holding the same churches to the Douay-Rheims, Rome’s own Bible.

Getting a printed KJB

Any faithful printing of the standard text serves: Cambridge and Oxford text editions are the benchmarks. The text is owned by nobody, so a plain text edition costs little. Buy the sturdiest one you can; it is meant to be worn out.

Then start with John

Handle with care

Study bible notes are not the Book. Even inside a King James cover, the notes at the bottom of the page are the words of men, and men drift. Read the text as the authority and the notes as a commentary that must answer to it, never the reverse.

Apps that default to modern versions. Most popular Bible apps open to a modern version and footnote the King James text with the same doubt this site documents. If you use one, set the KJB as the version and read the text, not the margins.

Anything that asks for money to bless you. The rule from Front IV applies to KJB-branded ministries too: freely ye have received, freely give. A right Bible in the hands of a merchandiser is still merchandise.

Men who did the work.

This site stands on other men's labour, and it says so plainly. Both of the following are cited across these pages. Neither pays this site anything.

David W. Daniels

B.A., M.Div. · trained in Bible and linguistics

Daniels spent two decades in the Hebrew and Greek and in the history of how the Book came down to us, and came out holding the King James Bible as God's preserved words in English. His value is that he shows his work: he names the men, quotes their own words, and prints the verses side by side so you can see the change for yourself. Start with whichever of these matches the front you are standing on.

Sealed By the King

Brandon Peterson · Truth is Christ

The full title runs Intricate Patterns and Details Pointing to God’s Inspiration over the 1611 Holy Bible in English, and that is exactly what it is: page after page of counted, reproducible structure in the King James text. This is the work the Sevens section of this site is built on, and the source of the 823,543 count and the patterns walked out there. Every claim in it is checkable with Pure Bible Search, and it should be checked. That is the whole point of a countable proof.

Further reading, channels, and teachers will be added here as they are vetted. The bar is the same one the whole site uses: to the law and to the testimony.
